How public officials can change the future for Ohio’s children
-
Become informed about the benefits of quality early education and care for
families who need out-of-home-care: make sure the people you serve understand
the importance of the first years of life for every child’s growth.
-
Support standards of quality for all early care and education programs and ensure
that young children’s teachers have the competencies and skills needed to be effective.
-
Create incentives for other public-and-private-sector organizations to expand and
improve services to families with young children.
-
Support family choice by backing policies that ensure families have access to high-quality
services and resources, regardless of whether they decide to have their children learn
and grow at home, in day care or in another center- or school-based setting.
-
Increase investments in young children and families, ensuring that new dollars are
targeted to evidence-based best practices and policies.
-
You may think that you can only do a little, but what you do can mean a lot for
Ohio’s young children.
